DART Swimming is thrilled to announce a partnership with the Carmichael Recreation and Park District (CRPD) and the Carmichael Parks Foundation (CPF)! Since the inception of DART Swimming's Sacramento location, the organization has prioritized community service and outreach. Annually the team participates in Project Knots and various other donation driven events to give back to the community supporting our efforts to develop athletes in and out of the pool. Recently DART Swimming's Sacramento location was recognized by USA Swimming as one of twelve clubs across the United States for our commitment to community and diversity in receiving the Community Impact Grant. Having a shared devotion to the community, working alongside CRPD and CPF was a no brainer when DART Swimming CEO Brian Nabeta was approached about the possibility of a partnership.
Carmichael Recreation and Park District currently has no pools for community use so residents up until this point have had limited access to life saving skills that can be learned through formal swim lessons. Through this partnership of all three organizations, we are able to bring low-cost swim lessons back to the Carmichael community! The Carmichael Parks Foundation has committed to scholarship assistance for those meeting the criteria and enrolled in the DART Swim School.
DART Swimming is excited for the opportunity to work with CRPD and the Parks Foundation to bring desperately needed water safety to the area and are grateful for the support of everyone involved in getting this project up and running!
